Happy Halloween part 2

We trick or treated at my moms on November 1 but our town had trick or treating on November 2. Our high school had made it to sectionals in football and the game was November 1 so clearly trick or treating was not gonna work. We live in a small town and making it to sectionals was a big thing! The girls wanted to switch up their costumes and be princesses. It also happens to be the same costumes they wore last year. Chris walked to about three houses with us and then was wore out. I thought he would be in so much more pain then what he was, he did have back surgery the day before! I was surprised he went to three house but glad he did. He spent the rest of the night on the couch.

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween was a little different this year, it poured down rain on Halloween so all the towns moved Halloween to Friday November 1. That plan would have been perfect but Chris had his 2nd back surgery on November 1. I still managed to fit in trick or treating with the girls. Thankfully Chris' back surgery was scheduled for 9 in the morning so we were home by 3. I got him all nice and comfy on the couch and then headed to my moms to get the girls ready. I drug my mom with me trick or treating because I didn't want to go by myself. Marley and Cory did join us for a little while but they had plans so they headed to that before the girls were ready to be done trick or treating. This was the first year that Kiley went trick or treating the whole time. Usually she is tired of walking after about an hour but this year she trick or treated like a pro! This season of life with the girls is so much fun!

Pumpkin carving

The girls were really into carving pumpkins this year.  Hailey wanted to do most of it all by herself which is so weird to me.  I still feel like she is a baby and needs help with everything.  She is quick to let you know she can do it on her own :)  Even Kiley got in on the pumpkin guts this year.  All the years past she would let Chris take the guts out.  She wasn't a huge fan but she did it.

Apple works

One weekend my mom and I decided we would try going to a different apple orchard called Apple Works. It is about a hour from the house but totally worth the drive!!! We usually go to an apple orchard that is about 15 minutes from the house but they charge you to park, take a hay ride, play on the inflatable blow up things and so on and so on. We usually leave there spending about $100. Well this momma was looking for something cheaper :)

Apple works was beautiful and huge!!! They had a really pretty pond and picnic area.

The girls loved the petting zoo area and feeding all the animals. The baby cow was by far both of their favorites and mine too! He was just so little and cute :)

The girls took their first ever pony ride

and we ended our day with some yummy apple dumplings! It was a great day and it didn't cost an arm and a leg :) Definitely a place we will go to every year!
