Happy New Year

We decided that this year we wanted to ring in the New Year at home.  Chris made a great dinner of steak, homemade mac-n-cheese, green beans and rolls.  It was all SO yummy!!!  Earlier that day I took the girls to Target and let them pick out a game for us to play, they picked Disney headbands.  We played games drank kid wine and just had lots of fun at home.  My parents did stop by for a little while to play some games with us.  The girls both stayed up till midnight but fell asleep shortly after.  I know New Years was 3 months, almost 4 months ago but I hope everyone has been having a great one!!!

What happened????

WOW!!!!  Life sure has been busy and I just haven't found time to blog.  Not to mention we really haven't been up to a lot.  I'm gonna try to pick up from after our Disney vacay.  This post will be full of pictures so if you read sorry for the pictures overload.  I want to play catch up because one day I would like to print my blog into a book and I don't want to miss any of the fun things we did.

Up first Christmas!!!!

Again we had a wonderful Christmas and again it was full of sickness :(

The Saturday before Christmas we got together with Chris' dad, Susan, Mikey and Travis to celebrate.  We went to Tom and Susan's new house and had a great meal.  Steak, mac-n-cheese, green beans, rolls, corn and good drinks.  We opened presents and just spent time together catching up and letting the girls tell them all about our vacation.  We said our goodbyes and headed home.  Our trip home was full of excitement, a little ways into our drive home (which is 45 minutes) Hailey says her tummy hurts.  Sure it does, she had just downed a capri sun and about 5 chocolate truffles right before walking out the door.  So I tell her to close her eyes go to sleep and it will start feeling better. Ha! about 10 minutes later Hailey was getting sick in the car.  I flew from the front seat to the back seat and started dumping out presents so she could have a bag to get sick in.  The poor thing got sick for the next 12 hours and then felt yucky for about another day.  Luckily by Christmas Eve she was back to herself but we still made her take it easy on the sweets.

Christmas Eve we headed over to my parents house around 2.  We again had a great meal and then let the crazy present exchanging begin.  There are 9 kids ages 13 to 4 and they are all close in age so present time gets a little crazy but so much fun!  Wrapping paper is always ALL over my parents living room.  I love Christmas Eve at my parents.  I love seeing the wrapping paper fly, the kids begging for toys to be opened and then everyone playing with their new toys.  Once the little kids have opened its time for the big kids and then it's my parents turn.  This year Chris and I gave my parents a new microwave.  They needed one in a bad way.  The handle to their old microwave was broke near the bottom so every time you pulled on it to open the door it felt like you were pulling the entire handle off.  It had been this way for a good year or so.

Every Christmas Eve we leave my parents house and head to Chris' families to visit with his aunts and uncles.  Unfortunately this year our visit was cut short with them.  Chris' Pawpaw had an accident in October and had been in the hospital and on Christmas Eve we got a call saying that all family needed to head to the hospital they weren't sure he would make it.  We headed to the hospital to see Pawpaw, we think he just didn't want to be alone on Christmas Eve because he did make it but then did pass January 11.  When we left the hospital it was pretty late and the girls were exhausted.  They both passed out in the car but Kiley woke up about 10 minutes from home because her tummy hurt.  She then started getting sick.  Chris pulled the car over in a neighborhood and again I flew to the back seat and got her unbuckled and pretty much threw her out the door to Chris so she could get sick outside and not in my car!  It was kinda cute but sad at the same time seeing her getting sick in her pretty Christmas dress.  Kiley is such a funny kid, when she was done getting sick she said " OK.  I'm all done." and got back in the car like nothing had happened.  Thankfully that was the only time she got sick and she was good to go on Christmas.

Christmas morning the girls tore into the present from Santa.  I have to say that this year was the best Christmas we have had with the girls.  They are at such a fun age and get so excited about every present.  We had my parents over for the best breakfast we have ever had, egg souffle, baked french toast casserole, sausage and juice and then we hung out and let the girls play with all their new goodies!
