Father's Day Fun

My girls and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful Daddy and husband! Chris is such a great Daddy to the girls, I love watching the special and different bonds he has with the two of them. Its so much fun to see Hailey helping Daddy with yard work or cooking pancakes together, which is something they do together almost ever Saturday. I love it when Chris gets Kiley belly laughing and to watch him rock her to sleep. I'm so thankful for all the help he gives me with the girls, I couldn't ask for a better husband or Daddy for my little girls. We Love you Daddy and hope you had a GREAT Father's Day!!!!!!

Saturday evening we met Tom and Michael at a place called Bravo for dinner. I thought we could have a nice visit with the two of them because we don't see them very ofter BUT boy was I wrong. Kiley had different plans, she decided that she wanted to fuss the entire time we were there. Chris and I took turns holding her and walking outside with her to try and calm her down but nothing seemed to work. I feel like we rushed through dinner, hurried Tom into opening his present and skipped dessert which I really wanted just to get little Miss Fussy out of there. I know it was rushed and crazy but I still hope Tom had a great time. Thank you Tom for all the things you do for myself, Chris and the girls! Now if we can just get you to move closer to us!!!!!

Sunday we went to my parents house and did what we do best...had a cookout and hung by the pool!!!! All of my brothers and there kids came so it was complete crazyness but so much fun. Hailey painted my dad an airplane bank the same time she painted my mom's vase and it turned out so cute and of course I forgot to take a pic of it. She was really proud of it, when my dad opened it she said " I made that" I love watching my dad and Hailey together, she is his little shadow and says "PaPaw your my buddy" so cute. I also joke I feel sorry for Kiley because Hailey is wrapped around all my dad's fingers and toes, but I know my Dad and Kiley's bond will be just as special. Dad I hope you had a great father's day surrounded by your kids, grand kids and motorcycles-all the things you love :) Again we can't say thank you enough for all the things that you do for us, we love you.

Thank you so much Kate, you do a great job!!!!

Big Day

Kiley's big surgery day went GREAT and I didn't cry at all-YAY me!!! We woke up bright and early at 5:30 because we had to be there at 6:30 for a 8:00 am surgery. My poor baby couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight the night before, so at 11:00pm I gave her a bottle, which seemed to satisfy her all morning. In fact Kiley never cried or fussed or anything before the surgery I was so surprised. She spent a lot of time eating her thumb or numb as Hailey calls it and trying to blow raspberries. Raspberries are a new thing for her and she really doesn't know how to do them yet, so pretty much she just sticks her tongue out and makes a noise. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen!

She was such a good girl getting all of her blood pressure and pulse ox done. Getting her weight was the best, they did her weight first when we got taken back. My mom was holding her when they called us back so they had my mom get on the scale holding Kiley then get on the scale not holding Kiley, glad it was mom on the scale and not me!

Dr Gaddy and Dr Ward came to talk with us before they took her back and asked if we had any questions. I really didn't have any questions I was just ready to have the surgery over with! I wanted my happy baby back, no more ear infections. I told Dr Gaddy I was really sure Kiley had an ear infection in the left ear again and just wanted to be sure he would still be able to put the tubes in if it was indeed infected and he said he could still do it with an infection. They rolled Kiley away at 8:00 am and by 8:10 she was done! Dr Gaddy came out to talk with us again, said everything went really well and YES she did have an infection again, poor baby. He gave me some instruction for some ear drops and antibiotic and told us we could see her in a few minutes when she woke up more. At 8:30 we were in her recovery room and my poor baby was all over the place. We tried to give her a bottle and she would take a little then start screaming, give her a paci and she did the same thing. She had no idea what was going on, she wanted to wake up but she couldn't so she just screamed. The nurses said that was very normal, but Hailey didn't act like that at all, Hailey never cried. We got home around 9:45 and Kiley slept until noon. I guess a nap was all she needed because she woke up the happiest baby ever! I'm so happy it is all over with, I just hope Kiley's tubes work as well as Hailey's tubes have worked. Poor little Kiley has had an ear infection since April 12.

Thanks to everyone who thought and prayed for us yesterday I know tubes are a very minor surgery but when my baby is getting put to sleep it is very major to me. I hope tubes are the only surgery we ever go through! Thanks mom for going with me to be my support!!!

Weekend update

Our weekend was pretty low key. Kate took family pics on Saturday and they turned out so good, she is going to make me a disc and as soon as I get it I will put LOTS of pics up. She does such a good job!! We hung out at Tom and Kelli's Saturday night and just had some summer fun. Kiley has really been enjoying her thumb lately, I think she might be my thumb sucker. Fits her well since I was a thumb sucker and so was my mom and Kiley is a Maureen!!!! Enjoy the pics I'll update after Kiley's surgery on Thursday, say some prayers mostly for me, I'll be a nut case!

And the medal goes to...

Hailey!!! Last night Hailey and all of her friends got their medals at gymnastics. Hailey completed her first full year of gymnastics and believe it or not she really learned a lot. When we first started I thought what the heck did we get ourselves into, but we stuck it out and she even stopped crying when we would go. Now she can do a forward roll all by herself, hang on the bars and do a "W" and "L", she can also walk on the beam without falling. The best thing of all is that she learned to JUMP!!!! Yes for the longest time my daughter couldn't jump, but not anymore thanks to nastics as Hailey calls it. I'm so proud of her and can't wait for her to be like Shawn Johnson :)
Some how she lost her top teeth in this pic, but its still cute
