Halloween at the Children's Museum

Chris' work does a lot of donation with the Children's Museum which is great for us because when they do VIP parties for all the sponsors of the haunted house Sun King allows us to use some of those tickets :)

This year we took Hailey's BFF Kaylee along with us for the Halloween celebrations.  The girls had lots of fun at the nail polish station, getting their faces painted, picking out a balloon, making ghost suckers and going through the haunted house with the lights on, of course.  Hailey did beg me to take her through the haunted house with the lights off but I still think 7 years old is a little young.  Plus I didn't want a kid in my bed that night :)

We always have a great time and the girls were already making plans to go back next year!

Apple Pickin'

Fall is our favorite time of year!  We love apple cider slushies, pumpkins, climbing apple trees, bonfires, and sweatshirts.  The month of October is always booked with fall festivities!!

The last weekend in September we headed to Anderson Orchard for the apple festival.  We walked around the craft tents, picked out our pumpkins and spent about 2 hours climbing trees looking for the perfect apples.  My girls love picking apples!

We ended our day with apple cider slushies and then came home to make homemade applesauce and head to my parents for a bonfire and steaks!!

I love ALL things fall

Our doggies

We got our golden, Baxter, about 9 months ago. He is a 2 year old puppy and Corona is a 8 year old old lady. You can always see how annoyed Corona is with Baxter and then Rona will look up at me with her eyes that say "why did you bring him home?" But one morning before work I walked in and found the two of them cuddled up together!!!

7th Birthday parties...yes parties :)

This year we did Hailey's birthday party a little different then in years past.  She wanted to have a friends party but we also wanted to celebrate with family.  So the weekend of Labor day we had a friends luau party at my parents pool.

It was about 95 degrees outside so it was the perfect day for a pool party.  Good weather is all I wanted :)

Still trying to figure out if she is 7 or 17!

Kiley waiting for the party to start

The party favors for her friends.  The buckets had bubbles, candy, necklaces, and tattoos in them.

All her friends enjoying a little snack while swimming

Make a wish!

All these girls are from her school and they are all very sweet little girls

The only thing Hailey wanted at her party was a pinata and what Hailey wants Hailey gets :)

On Hailey's actual birthday she woke up to her door being decorated and the mirror in her bathroom also decorated. Hailey was so excited about her birthday that she woke up around 6 am and was downstairs completley dressed and ready to go. She said to me "Mommy come look at the upstairs I think Mamaw was here!" I just laughed at her. My mom had decorated Hailey's door before school started her kinderagarten year and now she gets all the credit for fun things.

Hailey had competition cheer practice on her birthday and I would let her miss it so after practice she came home to a pancake dinner topped with sprinkles and a candle!

Mom and dad came over and we sang, opened present and enjoyed some birthday brownies.

Then a few weeks later we had Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle Cory, Aunt Kate, Mia and Marley over to celebrate again
