Pre Turkey Day Celebrations

Every year we load up and go to St Louis to have "Moynihan Thanksgiving" the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It is always such a great family filled day with tons of food!

The weather was great this year, the guys could hang out outside while the bird was being fried and the kids could be out there playing. Hailey learned how to jumpa-rope as she calls it while we were there. It is really just a bunch of jumping around but super cute! Her and Uncle Tommy had a great time jumpa roping :)

This was Kiley, Cole and Keira's first Moynihan Thanksgiving and I think they are all big fans! Kiley fell in love with Aunt Marg while we were there. Everytime she saw Marg she was crawling as fast as she could over to her, she was even jumping out of my arms to get to Margie which is really weird because Kiley is a Momma's girl

Thanks to all the Moynihan's for such a great day! We can't wait to see you all again soon!!

Oink Oink

This little piggy is sick with the swine (H1N1) Yesterday daycare called me around 11:30 and said that Kiley had a fever of 101.9 and that I needed to come get her. I called the Dr before I got her and they said just to watch her, be sure that her fever is breaking and that she is having 4 wet diapers in 24 hour time. All of these things she was doing but she had a really bad night. Chris slept in the recliner with her almost all night and at 5:15 I came downstairs because she was crying pretty bad and wouldn't stop. I thought she most likely was crying because she was achy. I know that their is only a 48 hour window as to when you can treat H1N1 so I made the decision to call into work and take her to the Dr.

Yesterday Kiley's fever would break but she didn't want to eat she only had about 15 oz of formula all day and wanted nothing to do with table food. This morning when she got up she would only play for about 30 minutes and then wanted to sleep. Sleep is something Kiley doesn't do so I knew something was up.

When I got to the Dr Kiley didn't lift her head off of my chest, her eyes were watery and she looked horrible. Dr Henderson said yep she has the flu, of course I got teary eyed. The Dr just told me that my 10 month old has H1N1 people die from that, yes I was scared, really scared. For the first time being a Mom I was scared, scared for my little girl. I know that there are worse things out there that could be going on with my babies so part of me is grateful I'm only dealing with H1N1 but another part of me is scared.

Today we had lots of cuddle time, we spent most of the day in the recliner rocking and taking naps. She would play for a little while but it wore her out pretty quickly. She had 1 dose of Tamiflu and took a 2 hour nap and I swear she woke up a different person. She has been playing now for about an hour, she has taken a whole bottle, eaten some puffs and while Chris and I were eating she was begging for some food!! She had a few bites of tater tots and then some ice cream for dessert. I'm so grateful she is acting better, i know she isn't well yet but I'm not as scared anymore.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the rest of my family stays healthy!

Halloween Fun

Hailey wanted nothing to do with the "guts" of her pumpkin this year, in fact when Chris took the top off of the pumpkin she said "yuck! gross!" I tried to tell her how much fun it was but she still wasn't having it.

I think Hailey's favorite part of craving pumpkins was when she got to help clean the table.

The finished product, I think they all turned out really cute!!\

I wasn't sure if Hailey was gonna go Trick or Treating this year because the Thursday and Friday before she was running a low fever but luckily when she woke up on Satuarday she was feeling like herself again. She was so excited to go Trick or Treating although she really didn't know what it was all about.

Kiley wasn't a big fan of Halloween until after she got a bottle and took a little nap!
Kiley Maureen the little flower
Hailey Lauren the beautiful butterfly.

Hailey loved going to everyone's door, she didn't want to go home. I thought we would only be out for about an hour or so but we stayed out for 2 hours. The other night she asked me if she could go Trick or Treating again. I had to explain that we only do it once a year like the Easter bunny and Santa!

Hailey got tons of candy and got a little hyper with it all too! She started wearing my mom's witch hat.

We had a great Halloween and Hailey is already looking forward to next year!!
