Dancing Queen

Hailey's 2nd year dance recital was June 16.  There was only 2 other little girls in her class and it was really amazing to watch how much they all learned this year in class.  Hailey improved so much this year, I'm really proud of her.

Their teacher couldn't be a the rehearsal or recital because of something she already had planned and couldn't get out of, so the girls didn't have anyone to watch as they did their routine and they NAILED it!!!  They all did SO good.  They remembered almost every step.  Hailey was concentrating so hard that she forgot to smile but that is something we will work on for next year.

Medal goes to...

Hailey just completed her 4th regular season of gymnastics.  It's amazing how much she has improved just from this time last year.  Now when she does her cartwheel both of her legs go straight up in the air and she is awesome at the vault.  They don't actually vault but they run, jump on the spring board put both hands down on the mat and stay stiff as a board and flip over.  She does it perfect about 8 out of 10 times. Her teacher Miss Sarah always comments how good she does and has even had some of the team coaches watch her do it.  Who knows maybe we have the next Shawn Johnson living with us :)

Losing teeth

On Sunday May 20 Hailey lost her first tooth, I know kids lose teeth I just didn't realize that some kids lose them at 5 1/2.

On April 9 Hailey had a dentist appointment and that is when they told us her tooth was just a tiny bit lose. Well that was all Hailey needed to hear before she became obsessed with wiggling her tooth 24/7.

Saturday night we were laying on the floor watching tv and it looked like her tooth could fall out at any moment but when we tried to pull on it it just wasn't ready. I had this feeling that she was going to lose her tooth Monday at school. When she woke up, she might of even been half asleep still she started wiggling again. About 30 minutes later Chris looked at it and took a little tug and in Hailey's words it just popped out!!!

I wasn't sure how Hailey would handle her tooth coming out and the blood but she was a pro. She chewed on a washcloth for a few minutes and then couldn't wait to tell everyone. That night she put her tooth in her tooth pillow for the tooth fairy to come. The tooth fairy left her 3 gold $1 coins, Hailey was on cloud nine :)

I know it is only one tooth that is missing but it makes her look so different!  PLEASE STOP GROWING UP!!!!

Congrats Graduate

On May 17 Hailey graduated preschool :( I honestly have no idea how it is time for her to go to kindergarten. I'm so excited for her to start school and learn so many new things but I hate the thought of her going to school makes her seem so grown up. Before I know it I will be blogging about her going off to college. (tear)

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter this year celebrating Jesus and enjoying family! We went to a great church service and then home for a few hours so the girls could have some rest time and I could get a few things made to take over to my mom and dad's house.

Weekend without Hailey

For a few weeks me and the girls have been planning on taking a quick trip to St Louis to visit family. On March 10 my aunt brought my cousin Ashley over from St Louis and then me, the girls and my mom were going to bring her back and stay for 2 days. Well Kiley decided Thursday night that she would get a fever at 10 pm and then at 1:30, 2:00, 3:30 and 8:00 am she would puke :( Needless to say Kiley and I didn't make the trip to St Louis but my mom took Hailey.

I'm so thankful my mom took Hailey, that girl LOVES to go over there. I'm sure getting whatever she wants has nothing to do with her love for St Louis :)

Kiley woke up Saturday feeling much better and I was so happy because it was beautiful out and I didn't want to spend the day inside with a sick baby. We headed over to Tom and Kelli's house and then went to breakfast, the park, DQ and then back to their house to ride bikes and play outside.

It was a great day but I missed Hailey like crazy! The no fighting between the two of them was so nice but I found myself constantly looking for Hailey. I felt like I lost her at the park. I know Kiley loved having one-on-one time with me and Hailey loved having all eyes on her in St Louis.

Things were right back to normal 5 minutes after Hailey got out of the car, fighting once again. Ahhhh the joys of parenthood :) I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Disney on Ice

The end of January I took the girls and my mom to Disney on Ice. This year it was Dare to Dream, Rapunzel. This has become a tradition for us that started in 2008 and I look forward to it every year. We also go out to dinner before the show and we go where ever the girls want, this year they picked Cracker Barrel. Hailey loves to go there and get pancakes and Kiley loves to get chicken strips.

We had 2nd row seats this year and they were AMAZING!!!!!
